Summary
Ajax has a long history of success in Canadian Swimming. Cathy Gerroir and Tom McLoughlin have worked hard at building and surviving through some tough times. They have coached in this region for decades and moved swimmers from their entry point to high performance time after time. Their experience and history till not be lost as Tom is sticking with the club and Cathy is around as needed. They have passed the reins to Kendra Papple last season. Kendra Papple has grown some great clubs in her career. Huron Hurricanes built a program that had swimmers traveling from almost an hour away to join their groups, camps and culture. She then moved to GMAC, growing a great coaching team, a healthy financial picture and team culture. The club had great performance from group after group of swimmers. At AAC we are building a culture that is inclusive but protective of performance. Pride in not just the results, but in the process and the people we are in that process. We will be building swimmers with solid foundations and putting in the time to educated both swimmers and parent for the best overall experience. Change is never easy but I know the group can thrive. AAC Vision: Become a leader in Ontario swimming with quality programming and structure. Be the performance and culture that evokes pride and brings more to the sport than we take. Increasing membership in Ajax with enthusiastic, committed families. AAC Mission: Build conscientious, strong athletes striving towards excellence. Taught great foundations throughout in a well rounded program. AAC Values: Grateful, Cooperative Contributions Accountability of words and actions Authentic Inclusion Daring and Courageous dreams and execution
